Subject: Col. Ian Philpott's Passing
It is with a great deal of sadness that I must report that Col. Ian
Philpott passed away a few weeks ago.
To the old-time "Noters" at DEC, Ian was a valuable and well-respected
member of our community.
After leaving DEC, Ian was living in Korat (sp?), Thailand and working
as a professor at a university.
While I was out at Microsoft in Redmond last week, I saw an old friend
and ex-DECcie (Marshall Goldberg) who told me the sad news. Ian's Wife had
called Marshall and told him of Ian's passing.
