Dolly Copp makes a great base camp. The Imp Face trail right across the street (RT 16) has a great view. Map: http://thezoo.zko.dec.com/rexford/PeakBagger/maps/carters.jpg Other fun things to do while you are in the area: o drive up the Mt Washington autoroad, or take the van up. o swim in the river at the campground. o Hike up the Stoney Brook Trail (just north on rt16, bring your bathing suit, July - Sept) o Dinner at Pink Notch AMC visitor center, in a room full of hikers. \kim [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
