Hi all,
At the Peugeot site we get from time to time messages in the realm log
file that looks like
I-BSTR_S_GOM_CLNT_SHUT and I-BSTR_S_GOM_CLNT_NOT_FND
I've noticed that you get such a message for example if you manually kill
the ams_mon procedure.
My question is : what are the circumstances that trigger that message ?
what has to be done or checked if it appers ?
can it be ignored ?
Thanks for your help
Ciao
Maurice

I guess it's B* 2.0, isn't it ?

BSTR_S_GOM_CLNTSHUT is logged by the gom_server whenever one of
its client processes quits the connection.
Try to enter cli_bstr, then "SET SCOPE VOLATILE" and
"SHOW DOMAIN /" (now you're a GOM client), then "EXIT".
A new "CLNTSHUT" message will be logged.
BSTR_S_GOM_CLNTNOTFND sometimes follows the "CLNTSHUT" message,
due to a badly managed race condition between gom_server threads.
>> what has to be done or checked if it appers ?
nothing.
>> can it be ignored ?
yes. With B* 3.0, they're not logged anymore.
