Bill,
This crash is probably related to pool corruption bugs that exist in NT
4.0, NT 4.0 Service Pack (SP) 1, and NT 4.0 SP2. A fix for these bugs
was release in a post-SP2 hotfix, available from the MS FTP site. If
the customer wants to run NT 4.0 on the 4100, the must apply NT 4.0
Service Pack 2 (SP2) and then the post SP2 hotfix. Applying SP2 is
cumulative, and contains fixes for all previous SP releases. Both SP2
and post-SP2 hotfix are available from the MS FTP site:
SP2 site:
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt40/ussp2/
Post SP2 hotfix site:

Sorry .1 doesnt help. The crash happens after the installation has copied "some" files and reboots, i.e. "Install NT from CD" -> "copy some files" -> "reboot" -> CRASH!! BTW How can you apply a Service Pack if you havent installed the OS? any other ideas? thanks Nourdin Boulassel [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
