AFW NT 1.1 The ip settings in NT allow you to enable security. This allows you to filter by port and protocol. After installing the firewall do we need to configure these? Would the firewall do this anyway? Andrew Stylianou

Andrew, >After installing the firewall do we need to configure these? Would the firewall do this anyway? The installation does not currently do this for you, in part because the requirements for each site may vary widely (what one side wants shut off, another might need to have on etc). It would defintely be a more secure site to enable this security, and should not interfere with the functionality of the firewall (unless you turn off a port used by the firewall!). Future releases of the NT firewall may do more in this area. ScottE [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
