Hi,
How to browse internal WWW through AV firewall?
You know the policy of DFWU2.1 does not allow it.
I heard that Netscape Proxy sevrer will be helpful
to do this , anyone can tell me how ?

Hi Robin, Netscape calls the mechanism "reverse proxying". See http://www.netscape.com/comprod/server_central/support/faq/proxy_faq.html#19 Maybe http://www-notes.lkg.dec.com/noted/seal/1642 will help with what AltaVista Firewall can do for you. Version 3.0 will offer - custom policies for the wwwproxy (just like for telnet and ftp) - transparent gxd We will have to find out whether these are useful for inbound WWW access. Don't forget to visit Tony Pitt's page on http://sector.gmt.dec.com/firewall/ whenever you want to do "something special" with AFW. Sebastian [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
