As anybody been successful in managing an OpenVMS MTA using
DECmcc V1.3.0 ?
Trying to use the DECnet/OSI AM just fails saying :

Partial registration success, Please retry later to
complete registration.
Reason for partial registration: connection rejected because
of protocol version skew, could be a Phase IV node...
------------------------------------------------------------
after that even if you continue, you can't get any information
back fron the DECnet/OSI (wave1) on OpenVMS node...
It does work if one register the node using the NODE4 AM however
you don't get to see the MTA, DSA, MTS entities (of course)
Am I missing something there ?

You have not fully configured the node you are trying to manage. It
still is configured with only Phase IV DECnet software. Check the
startup procedures if you are sure you completed the installation of
DECnet Extensions.
Look specifically at the command procedure SYS$STARTUP:NET$STARTUP.COM.
This is where you should be executing all of you Extensions procedures,
as well as STARTNET.COM for Phase IV.
NET$STARTUP.COM should be executed in SYS$STARTUP:SYSTARTUP_V5.COM in
place of STARTNET.COM.
Check your DECnet Extensions installation guide for more info. Look
specifically in the post-installation startup. You must also remember
that you will have to re-boot your machine during the installation
process. Read the installation guide very carefully.
Once you get the node configured properly, it will be managable from
DECmcc via **BOTH** the Phase IV and Phase V access modules.

I think I have all the above OK....
in SYS$STARTUP:SYSTARTUP_V5.COM I have a call to
@SYS$STARTUP:NET$STARTUP DNVEXT (which starts all
the Dnvext components including startnet.com)
I am going to read again the post installation guide but
it looks to me that my set-up is correct.
