NIS 500/600 Access
I've posted a similar question before but I thought I'd repost.
I'm trying to get to an NIS500 or NIS600 using MCC BMSV1.3, VMSV6.0,
DECnet Phase IV. In using the NODE icon, I only have to use the
ethernet address, correct?
I keep getting an error message (I'm at home)... doesn't recognize
the format? Or something like that. We moved from one site to another
and I had deregistered this NIS from one domain.
In using FCL I can still see it in my database. In the past, I added
and then deleted an entity and was able to get by similar problems...
Anyone have a slick way to get to an NIS???
Also, is a WANrouter500 added as a 'NODE'??? Thanks in advance.
/Mic

No, you have to specify the Phase IV name as synonym, e.g. MCC> register node .mydir.hugo synonym hugo > I keep getting an error message (I'm at home)... doesn't recognize > the format? Or something like that. We moved from one site to another > and I had deregistered this NIS from one domain. If you deleted it from your domain, just add it. It's still registered. > In using FCL I can still see it in my database. If you see it in FCL (e.g. with MCC> dir node *) just do a 'show node <it's name>'. If this works, you have access. > Also, is a WANrouter500 added as a 'NODE'??? Thanks in advance. Yes, because it talks DNA-CMIP. *Robert | |||||
