We're trying to do some initial playtoy-program investigation to see
how easy/difficult it will be to integrate a number of external
devices and their interfaces into a larger commercial program to be
built.
It involves integrating scanned contracts from Lotus Mail or MS Mail
to be shown in Forte (native or by starting the Mail program with
the contact opened up), some weigh bridges for verhicles, radiation
detectors, and "Buttons" (i.e. electronic authentication devices to
verify people are who they say they are instead of passwords).
Within the mail segment, I just tried to use MAPI OLE and cycle
through the mail messages in the Inbox to count them. After the last
one, the MAPI documentation says the GetNext method returns nil. So
I expect to be able to get this nil somewhere in the Forte CDispatch
pointer that links to the OLE object...
