we've taken in two sets of sups -- one which fixed about 10 ptt reports,
and then a few days later one which backed out changes regarding a trailing-
space on comment leader problem.
i'm assuming that the current patches are ok, but I just learned there's a
new limitation -- I assume it was by accident, of a max of 12 files per submit.

p.s. remember to (# cd /usr/sde/tools/local; ./bsubmit -ode) before doing
the update, and then (# cd /usr/sde/tools/local; ./bsubmit -local) after.

a fix has been added to bsubmit and is in the process
of being tested through our nightly testsuites.
as workaround, try to submit 12 or less files, at a time,
and you should be o.k.
Your site should be getting the patch via sup next week.

The 12 file submit limitation was a bug that limited submits to 12 BIN files. It
wasn't introduced with your last sup -- it was latent all along.
And was there really any doubt that the problem was a bug, and not intentional?

As it turns out, I was wrong and we did introduce the bug with our latest bug
fix. We have a test for large number of checkins and submits that we always run,
but those are non-BIN files -- we will add a test for BIN files as well.

Josh, I apologize for any undue alarm you had about there being a 12 file limit
on bsubmit. We're sorry that the bug slipped out in the first place, and we are
even more sorry that we didn't do a better job in describing the problem in the
first place. In spite of everything, I believe that the problem is now
understood, and that what we are doing meets your needs.
This will be a reminder to us in the ODE group of the importance of effective
communications.

Hi,
bsubmit no longer fails when trying to submit greater then
12 files at a time with comment leader's set to either BIN or NONE.
bsubmit was working O.K. on files with extensions like *.c , *.h, etc...
A fix has been added to bsubmit last week, a test was added
to DECode II's testsuite at the same time to verify the fix.
The testsuites succeeded on all platforms.
You should be getting bsubmit image with this fix via sup,
anytime now.
