1229.0. "Kerberos password expirations without advance notice" by AOSG::FILTER (Automatic Posting Software - mail to flume::puck) Thu Feb 02 1995 14:43

Subj: Kerberos password expirations without advance notice

I remember a year ago when these untimely expirations created a lot of
noise in the system. At the time, I asked Jo-Anne Falco to look into
some type of notification process that would prevent users from being
impacted in the critical phases of a release.

Could admin make sure we aren't going to experience another wave of
this kind of disruption, if only done manually this time?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi,

Can someone pls reset my kerberos password?

> Kerberos Initialization for "Thomas_Peterson"
> kinit: Principal expired (kerberos)

I think this happened to me last year too. Any way to get
kerberos to remind me when the password is about to expire?

thanks,
- - Tom
