I've heard that there's a new TV game show called 'Total Panic' that
was created using Amigas and the Mandala interactive video system. The
Mandala system uses some special hardware to allow a human (a dancer,
for example) to interact with live Amiga graphics and a genlocked
background. The dancer's arm could touch an imaginary point in space
and trigger a graphics fireworks. You get the idea.
Anyway, the show is supposed to be aired on the Nickelodean Cable
network on August 27 th. I don't know if this will vary in different
areas, but you might want to check your local listings.
I suspect the show will be complete trash, but it might be interesting
to see this Mandala stuff in action.

wait until the start getting bad ratings, then start sending letters
suggesting that they expand the Amiga portion of the show. Maybe
they aren't aware of how closely Amiga videophiles watch for Amiga
usage in tv shows and movies. Hmmm... could CBM could get into
the act by making the prizes be lovely new Amiga Power User systems
(or some other marketing hype)?
I can see it now... Maxine Headroom replaces Vanna as the leading
lady of game shows...
