2892.0. "HP Officejet, "printer can not be found" in some apps" by WHOS01::ELKIND (Steve Elkind, Digital SI @WHO) Sat Apr 05 1997 03:21
I just installed on HP Officejet 350 print/fax/etc. To make the
installed driver work, I found on the HP support web page that I could
have no more then 11 printers installed in Win95. After I deleted a
few extra printers, then reinstalled, everything appeared to work
correctly - prints ok from Word, Excel, Bitfax, AOL, KEAterm, Netscape,
....
BUT: with Paint, Wordpad, and Notepad - it does NOT!! If I select
File->Print or File->Page Setup, I get a message box that says "printer
can not be found", at least as long as the HPOJ 350 is the default
printer. If I set the default, say, to "Epson AP3250" which I have
replaced with the Officejet, it does not give me the error.
Any one out there have any ideas? I checked out the HP support web
page, none of the articles came close.
