My customer has a trouble. Any advise ?

Our Netscape Communications Server has been configured for SSI as follows:

"CGI and Server Parsed HTML/Customize server parsed HTML on your server"
        "You are currently modifying the entire server."
                "Activate server parsed HTML ->"
                        I'd like to activate server parsed HTML in full.
                "How does the server know ? ->"
                        Use a filename extension of .shtml for parsed HTML.

Netscape Communications Server has been restarted after above configuration
change was made.

Then I tried to access one SHTML file which has following line:

        <!--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/simple.pl"-->

But W3 browser returned following error:

        [an error occurred while processing this directive]

And Error Log file of Netscape Communications Server shows me following error
for my access as follows:

[10/Feb/1997:19:00:01] Node: asegs1.fuchinobe.skk.slb.com  failure: 
        for host hubmgr.fuchinobe.skk.slb.com trying to GET /www/pltst.shtml,
        parse-html reports: exec tag is not supported
        (/disk$gs1_system_1/www_data/pltst.shtml)

Would you please let me know the answers for following questions ?:

        1. Is "exec tag" of SSI supported by Netscape Communications Server for
           VMS ?
        2. If it's true, would you please let me know the correct procedure to
           activate "exec tag" of SSI under Netscape Communications Server for
           VMS ?

This issue has already been addressed with the customer. FYI, the answer is
that the EXEC tag is not supported in the current version of the Netscape
Server on OpenVMS (and yes, this is documented in the release notes).
