Hi, I've installed the Microsoft Internet Information Server v1.0 on NT3.51/Alpha in an attempt to make a directory available. The web server starts but any attempt to access any web pages returns the following error: 'HTTP/1.0 500 Server Error (The parameter is incorrect) to the client. On the server the Event Viewer reports the following problem The server was unable to logon the Windows NT account '' due to the following error: The parameter is incorrect. The data is the error code. The error code is 0000: 57 00 00 00 W... Can anyone give me a pointer to how to fix this problem. This was meant to be a quick solution to a small problem :-) Thanks in advance, Dave M.

What account was it trying to logon to? Under what account is IIS running? This really belongs in the Windows NT Notes Conference. Danny

The problem was occuring because the default setting was allowing anonymous connections but no account and password had been set. Once this was set then I was able to disable anonymous connections and everything was ok. Thanks, Dave M.
