4468.0. "Internet Explorer Woes all of a sudden" by LITE::BROOK () Wed Feb 12 1997 14:21
Yesterday, I tried to run MIE on an AXP / NT V3.51 (Probably V1)
and it suddenly started faulting out with the error
The instruction at 0x0105c940 referenced memory
at 0x00000000. The memory could not be "read".
Thinking that something had corrupted MIE, I eventually located a
new copy and tried to install that ... but it fails the same way.
I tried V2.0? but it needed a V4 service pack that I cannot get because
I haven't got a working browser to get the the http: sites.
Any ideas what might be going on ?
Thanks
Stuart

You don't need a browser. A DOS window will do.
