Hi,
I've set up a caching proxy server using the CERN httpd
that comes with the IAS V3.1 kit.
Every now and again, a user will start downloading a file (typically a
binary file, html seems to be OK), and it will abort without completing
the copy. The server then has the incomplete file in cache, and subsequent
attempts to download the file result in the incomplete file being copied
to the client system. HTML doesn't seem affected (at least I haven't had
complaints about HTML).
The only way to clear the problem is to manually remove the file from
the cache directory.
It doesn't seem to matter whether the file size is know or not.
Is this a common problem, and can some tell me how to work around it ?
regards
Ryan
