| On the Intel NT machine, it will just install. On the Alpha box, you
need to run it under FX!32. FX!32 is not really supported on NT before 4.0
so you may need to upgrade. In addition, it sound like you downloaded the
evaluation versions of Personal Search, etc. That means it will expire.

Although AV SMCPX V1.0 installs and runs just fine under FX!32,
neither the Service Pack 2 for the product nor the evaluation beta
kits for the 1.1 version will run under FX!32. It's because they are
now using a DLL that makes calls to NTDLL.DLL, and that mechanism
doesn't (yet?) work under FX!32.

| I clicked on the avsmc10a_eval.9IT and get the Open With Window. Can
I get this to run?
I do the same for the ServUpgrd.O8J the the same thing happens.
What am I doing wrong?

| Sounds like downloads with Microsoft Explorer are still getting bogus file
extensions. Try renaming them to .exe and see what happens.
You might also want to report this issue with the "Feedback" button.
