BTW I set up a password for the wf_admin account during the Forum
installation and this is the same password that I use for logging on to
the NT Server.
Thanks,
John

| I'm confused. The Accounts in NT and Forum are not related.
Can you log into the Forum with the 'wf_admin' account usename and the
password that you supplied at the time of installation?

| 4551.3 | How do you log in as Administrator | SIOG::DOOLEY | | Wed Mar 19 1997 07:26 | 20 |

Thanks for the reply,
I know that they are not related but as a second pass I
re-installed both the Fasttrack and Forum software again after coming
accross the "failure to lg in to Administrator". I created a wf_admin
account and used it to install the server and Forum software.
I connect to the Summit page as follows:
http://dpcs08.dbo.dec.com/forums/aca-1/dispatch.cgi
..and then click on Administrator to try and gain access to setting up
a forum.
Is this the correct way to log in.? I do not get prompted for a
username or password.
Thanks,
John

| 4551.4 | WF_ADMIN log on success | SIOG::DOOLEY | | Wed Mar 19 1997 09:23 | 8 |
| Hi,
I re-installed AltaVista Forum software after changing the
FastTrack Admin user name and password to match the Forum aca password
and username. When I connect I am now asked for a username and I log on
successfully as wf_admin.
Thanks,
John
