4629.0. "web proxies not dying off..." by CSC32::GONZALES () Mon Apr 21 1997 13:18
I have a customer that is running Dunix 4.0a and Altavista Firewall
v2.1. He has over 150 web proxies that seem to just stay there
well after each session has ended.
I know that there was a problem with the child proxies not going
away in 3.2x, but, I was under the impression that this was fixed
in 4.0a of Dunix.
We have tried to remove the parent (root) proxy and this still
leaves the child process'. What the customer did was reboot
and this of course cleared the proxies for the time being. They
have now grown again to about 150. Short of writing a script
remove the proxies is there some parameter that can be tweaked?
Or, will this be corrected in a later version (3.0) of the firewall?
Any input, would be greatly appreciated.
