| If you've missed the response you can generally backtrack it by looking for
your original message in http://www.dejanews.com .
There probably are news monitors, but I'm not aware of any particulars.

| I use OUI (Offline Usenet Interface) from Peak to Peak Services (formerly
Dvorak Software), www.peaktopeak.com. It's a Windows application which I find
makes newsgroups much more convenient. One of the things it does is maintain
a "current reading list" (including messages you've posted) and it will
automatically download any followups to those threads and highlight newly
downloaded postings.
