| Lynx 2.7, which was released early this year, added cookie support.
And it works (for the most part). Really. It runs nicely on my
ancient BSDI box.
http://lynx.browser.org is where the current maintainer lives.

| Thanks... Found Lynx 2.7.1 which includes Cookies and SSL support
which is exactly what I was looking for!
Now to try and compile it on DU 4.0...

| 4664.3 | Compiled on Unix, now how about VMS??? | OTOOA::kap901.kao.dec.com::trimble | | Wed May 14 1997 13:52 | 14 |
| I successfully compiled Lynx 2.7.1, with SSL support even,
on Digital Unix 4.0.
Now my challenge is to compile it on VAX/VMS. I'm currently trying
to compile the SSLeay 0.6.6 library on a VMS 7.1 system with DECC 5.5
and not having a lot of luck. It seems to be hanging on the MD
module in the Crypto library. Has anyone else compiled SSLeay on
VMS? It is possible that it just takes this module a very long time
to compile, but its been going for 2 hours now on a VAX 4000-200.
Thanks,
Jason

| Not an answer, but...
There is a pre-compiled 2.7 (not 2.7.1) for OpenVMS VAX available via
DECnet from MISERY""::SYS$SYSTEM:LYNX-2-7_VAX.EXE
$ DIR MISERY""::SYS$SYSTEM:LYNX-2-7_VAX.EXE/DATE/SIZE
Directory MISERY""::SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]
LYNX-2-7_VAX.EXE;1 1338 6-MAR-1997 12:27:12.00

| 4664.5 | Need SSL | OTOOA::kap901.kao.dec.com::trimble | | Wed May 21 1997 15:44 | 10 |
| Need a version which has SSL compiled in too. Anyone have
that?
I get problems compiling the SSLeay kit, in the Crypto
part the compiler hangs on the MD and the SHA sections.

Jason
