How do we telnet from Digital internal to outside node (no firewall)?
Any pointers or instructions will be highly appreciated.

I would assume it's like outbound ftp -- you would need to get a
cryptokey. See topic 4647 for a discussion of outbound ftp.

Thanks for quick reply. I know how to do ftp outbound and have used it a
lot. Telnet and ftp are the same principle. However, I am not able
to telnet out from the our gateway. I'd appreciate if someone who
knows how can help to describe the steps.

You need a cryptokey. If you have one, telnet to telnet-gw.pa.dec.com
and log in as guard.
