Al,
I have been consulting with UCX engineering on the problem regarding
unregistering a service registered with both TCP and UDP. They are a bit
perplexed on how what you claim can happen. They have asked me to ask
you for a code reproducer, the smaller the better.
Can you provide this? You can email it to "alpha-developer@digital.com"
and use "Call #3412" in your Subject line so that it will get routed to
me appropriately.
Thanks,
Jeff Donsbach

Not sure. The server registers with a udp and tcp connection using
ONC/RPC
and then shutsdown. One of the protocols remains.
Not sure what to do and I don't have any cycles to do this as of now.
How long can I keep the call open for ????

Al,
You can keep the call open for as long as it takes. If you can't
provide a code example right now, you can later when you have time.
In the mean time I'll try and reproduce the problem on my own (though
the turnaround time is always a lot quicker when partner's can provide
reproducers).
For now, are you able to work around the problem by manually
unregistering
the TCP service?

Jeff Donsbach
